Last QuokkaWe've been big raps for Perth four-piece Last Quokka since they launched onto the scene a couple of years ago - their no muss, no fuss brand of political punk-rock a refreshing burst of energy on our sometimes to-cool-for-school music scene. And we're pleased to say that hard-and-fast attitude continues on new EP Randwick, which officially drops this Friday. Recorded at Randwick Studios in Hamilton Hill with Jordan Shakespeare earlier this year, the typically firey seven-tracker finds the group as angry (Hurt), politically-charged (Australia Fair) , and on occasion irreverant (Melbourne Weather) as ever.
We're also stoked to offer a little two-for-one deal today, with the EP's lead track Football Star getting a visual treatment from Billy Bowen, and taking a wonderful little stab at our national game at a particularly potent what with the finals kicking off last weekend and all. The track barely scrapes above a minute, but we think you'll get the message.
