"This is a day to just sit back, relax and let the good times roll."

The event: Love Street Music Festival
How did the idea for this event come about? We wanted to make a festival that celebrates Melbourne's thriving indie music scene, with a focus on bands that draw influences from folk, country and blues genres. Combine that with a bunch of quirky and eclectic arts performances and there you have Love Street.
What sets you apart from other music festivals out there? Love Street is a super chilled one-day event. It's at Howler, so no need to worry about the weather or the queues and overcrowding generally associated with festivals. This is a day to just sit back, relax and let the good times roll.

What's something that might surprise us about this event? Our arts program is a lovely integration of performances taking place all over Howler throughout the day. You will definitely be taken by surprise by sudden bursts of '90s dance routines, giant puppets, circus and spoken word.
What words of wisdom would you give people who want to attend? In the words of Marvin Gaye, let's get it ON!
Do you have any plans for this event in the future? Yeah, we'd love it to become an annual thing.
When and where is the event? It's at Howler in Brunswick on 25 Oct. Bands kick off at 4pm and everything finishes up around midnight.
