EP PREMIERE: The Small Press – ‘Is This What You Want?’
"We completely re-invented some songs."
The new EP from Sydney indie pop rock outfit The Small Press is the perfect summer soundtrack.
The band’s debut EP, Is This What You Want?, is energetic and upbeat, channelling the experiences of their early 20s, which included “working unfulfilling part-time jobs, studying at university, romance, heartbreak and trying to find our way”, according to vocalist Maddie Gilholme.
“We had fun with the recording process, trying stuff out that worked and stuff that didn’t,” Gilholme told The Music.
“It was exciting stumbling across new bits and pieces to use and we completely re-invented some songs in the process!"
