EP title? Sing, Strum & Strut
How many releases do you have now? This is my first solo release outside of Alex Watts & The Foreign Tongue.
Was anything in particular inspiring you during the making? I did some acoustic tours of Australia and the UK last year which helped me develop the way I do the songs without the band, and I thought that should be represented on wax.
What’s your favourite song on it? Reunited. I recorded it myself with very basic gear but it’s got a certain atmospheric quality that I really dig.
We’ll like this EP if we like... Nick Lowe, Neil Finn, Ben Salter, Gareth Liddiard. If you like blokes with guitars singing about ghosts, lust and murder then I’m your man.
When and where is your launch/next gig? 28 Aug, Rad Bar, Wollongong; 29 Aug, Great Northern Hotel, Newcastle; 31 Aug, Petersham Bowling Club. Supported by Kira Puru for all shows.
