"Returning home we realised how blessed we are to live in paradise here in Australia."

More Dubarray More Dubarray

Dubarray split their time between performing high-energy live shows, and bringing things down a notch for live music yoga shows and festivals. They kicked off their journey five years ago in Europe, and managed to squash in three albums, four singles, four European tours, four national tours, a handful of music award nominations and festival slots including Splendour In The Grass, Woodford Folk Festival, Wanderlust, Island Vibes and more in that time. Paradise is their latest release, and was recorded "On the Sunshine Coast [at] 'The Vault' with an engineer called Dave Harper. We have tried to work with other producers but have found the best results when producing the tracks ourselves," explains guitarist Brett Gadenne. "The track was initially inspired by a place called Paradise One in Byron Bay. Then the track took life with our touring and travels through WA and Bali. Also, returning home we realised how blessed we are to live in paradise here in Australia."

"We aim for feeling and vibe [in the studio]. Although I am constantly having this battle with my engineer, as he is the balance of getting the perfect take. Feeling always wins in the end though," he laughs. The single is a teaser for their next LP, but Gadenne reveals that the album "Won't be released 'til next year!"
