The result was Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared, a children’s show you’d never want your children to see. Things start out nice enough, with adorable characters and earwormy jingles you might see in a Seasame Street short, but things get real dark, real quick. Episodes about being creative result in cult-like death art, and when dealing with the concept of time, the colourful protagonists’ flesh melts off their bones as they learn the dangers of time’s unstoppable forward-march.
