DJing was something i just fell into but loved

Answered by: Lee Mintram

When did you know DJing was the gig for you?
Producing was my main thing really, DJing was something i just fell into but loved... Making music then playing what you’ve created to a crowd is such a cool privilege.

What’s your most memorable musical moment?
Breaksfest or the Shambhala festival in Canada... It would be hard to pick between the two.

What release should everyone have in their collection?
Anything by James Brown. Simple.

Who’s the act everyone will be talking about in 12 months?
I’ve heard interesting things about A Tribe Called Red... Tribal meets dance, I guess? I’m playing after them in Canada this year so looking forward to checking them out.

What can punters expect to hear when you’re in control of the dancefloor?
Feelgood music. Everything from hip hop, funk, breaks, drum’n’bass and everything in between. I come from a hip hop background so expect a lot of cutting and scratching in there too.
