Sydney-via-New Jersey singer/songwriter Danielle Deckard has dished up a sweet little homage to the '80s today, in the gender-reversed video clip for Put That Ring Away.
With a seedy John Waters-esque pencil moustache on, Deckard and her festive wedding guests dance, prance and sing away from the societal expectations we've come to accept as norm.
Deckard says of the song, "I believe that a meaningful relationship exists between the two people who are in it, in all of the little ways that they express their affection. The daily acts of love, rather than a one-time grand gesture."
The video was directed and edited by Jefferton James, with brilliant retro costuming from Brendan Hay.
