Courtney LaPlante's other band. No, not iwrestledabearonce!

I mean, everyone knows by now that Courtney LaPlante, singer/vocalist of Spiritbox was in iwrestledabearonce prior to being in Spiritbox. But what about the band BEFORE that? It was named after Transformers baddie, the devourer of worlds, UNICRON - and all three bands also feature Mike Stringer, her now husband!

And yep, you can see how Spiritbox eventuated out of these roots.

Courtney started Unicron alongside her guitarist brother, Jackson - and eventually future husband Mike Stringer's band Fall in Archaea supported Unicron - and when they needed a new guitarist, was Courtney's first choice as replacement. Then, as Courtney was asked to fill in for original IWABO singer Krysta Cameron on remaining Warped Tour Dates in 2012 - she eventually snuck Stringer into the band as well.

You can absolutely hear how the 1-2 punch of LaPlante and Stringer here, morphed into the hardcore stylings of iwrestledabearonce and then finally into what we know as Spiritbox today.
