"This is such a cool way to wear a tribute to an influential artist like Futura."
Since revealing their brand new reflective style this March, Converse have once again pulled out all stops for a minty fresh collaboration with US graffiti artist Futura.
The pioneering Brooklyn-based artist has dished out some original designs for the shoe company's Chuck Taylor All Star II Future Skyfall edition (not to be confused with the James Bond film), a rad new design that looks like A) a bunch of trees in a forest, B) mountain tops, or C) the sky is falling, depending on how you look at it (and are feeling at the time, we suppose).
Like their reflective line of All Star IIs, the new collection boasts an all-over reflective canvas, a Futura branded box and shoe bag, varnished midsoles and reflective laces. As always, they're available in both hi-tops and low, and we reckon would make a sweet addition to any monochromatic outfit (because black is the new black and always has been, thank you very much).

With peers like Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring, this is such a cool way to wear a tribute to an influential artist like Futura. Having exhibited at galleries the world over, the artist best known for his abstract take on graffiti is no stranger to brand collaborations with companies like Nike, The North Face, Supreme and Levi's. Neither is Converse, having collaborated with bands like Sex Pistols, designer labels like Comme Des Garcon and brands like Hello Kitty.
The Chuck Taylor All Star II Future Skyfall will be available from 25 June for RRP $160 at www.converse.com.au.
