The Top 30 Albums Of 2020 (So Far): Cable Ties - ‘Far Enough’

'The Music' team on the albums you need to hear from 2020.

More Cable Ties Cable Ties

"The sound of a band locked in total unison, taking chances and playing with righteous clarity." Chris Familton

Described as having “a bit more of the primitive rock’n’roll thing going on” according to vocalist and guitarist Jenny McKechnie, Cable Ties benefitted from having more mileage under their belt from recording their first album and their second, Far Enough

Again recording with engineer and producer Paul Maybury, this previous experience meant he knew how to bring out the best in the band.

The end result is a heady mix of ‘70s hard rock and proto punk, meaning their 30-minute riff test obviously worked a treat.
