Brand New’s 2003 classic Deja Entendu is being re-pressed for the first time since 2007..
Unless you’ve been blessed enough to inherit tens of thousands of dollars from a filthy rich, distantly related great-uncle; you probably haven’t had the pennies at your disposal to afford Brand New’s definitive 2003 release Deja Entendu on vinyl. Its two limited pressings from 2003 and 2007 can very occasionally be spotted on eBay for prices between $350 and $500, which is far too exorbitant for common peasants like myself. Fortunately, for lovers of Brand New everywhere, we no longer have to opt for selling one of our kidneys on the black market to afford this beautiful piece of modern alternative-rock history.
The band made the announcement on their official Facebook page earlier today that Deja Entendu’s third pressing will be released exclusively on Record Store Day this year (April 18th), with 1500 copies on 180 gram black vinyl available in limited packaging. For the majority of us that will more than likely miss out on the RSD exclusive, May 5th will see another pressing available everywhere, also on 180 gram black vinyl. So hold onto your vital organs, my friends, and keep an eye on Brand New’s Facebook page for more into on the Deja Entendu pre-order to follow.
