Hometown: Sydney

Short description of your band and your music: As MC, Kween G's focus is potent content, and flawless delivery and style.

Has the party side of the music industry been all you were hoping for so far in your career? I never have hopes but I've enjoyed some of the best parties, that's for sure.

What is the best thing that's happened to you/your band so far? Vivica Fox presenting me with an award for Best Female MC at the 2014 African Australian Music & Movie Awards in Sydney.

Are your ambitions mainly artistic or commercial? Purely artistic — nothing but love.

Is your music best rendered in the studio or the live realm? Live, nothing like doing it live and feeling that energy.

If you could have any act past or present join you on your next tour who would you tap? Bavubuka Sound System, a Ugandan hip hop collective that are forever doing amazing ground work in the community dedicating to getting back to the source.

What industry lessons would you like to take away from the BIGSOUND conference? I'm just looking forward to my experience at BIGSOUND — always learning.

What acts are you looking forward to checking out at the BIGSOUND showcase? Anyone who will be new to me and will inspire me with their sounds.

Why should people come and see you from amongst the many cool bands at BIGSOUND? I want to share the new beats that not many have been introduced to. I do it for the love, I do it for the passion.
