Short description of your band and your music: My songs and sound fall somewhere between Americana, country, folk and pop.
Has the party side of the music industry been all you were hoping for so far in your career? Making music is the party: the highs, the lows, the love and the loss. Everything else I do is just so I can get back to writing, recording or performing.

What is the best thing that's happened to you/your band so far? After a year of promoting my first release, Don't Let Go, getting to perform at Canadian Music Week 2015 in Toronto and share my music abroad was a huge thrill.
Are your ambitions mainly artistic or commercial? My ambitions are artistic but I feel compelled to introduce my music to as wide a fanbase as possible and a certain amount of commercial success is inherently linked to that principal.
Is your music best rendered in the studio or the live realm? Live at this stage though I base that partly on how much I like to connect with my audience. Being in the studio also feels like home though, so I'm hoping people love both experiences.
If you could have any act past or present join you on your next tour who would you tap? Nickel Creek — not be confused with Nickelback! I love what they can do live. With an act like them you could really mix it up and put on an awesome show.
What industry lessons would you like to take away from the BIGSOUND conference? I'm really wanting to tour more both nationally and internationally. I want to see how to best make that happen.
What acts are you looking forward to checking out at the BIGSOUND showcase? Luke Daniel Peacock. I've not seen him live and I'm betting he'll put on a good show. The next night I'm opening for Joshua Radin so I'm looking forward to that too.
Why should people come and see you from amongst the many cool bands at BIGSOUND? Brisbane is my hometown but most of my recent shows have been away on tour or at festivals so this will be my first full band Brisbane show in ages and I promise it will be awesome!
