Big WhiteMember/Role: Jack T Wotton/Singer, guitarist
Hometown: Sydney
Short description of your band and your music: We're a New Wave-ish, guitar-pop five-piece from Sydney's inner west. There's a big white house there that we all live and play popular music in.
Has the party side of the music industry been all you were hoping for so far in your career? Between this and a career in air conditioning I think the parties are seamless.
What is the best thing that's happened to you/your band so far? We got hooked up with a US tour earlier this year where we played SXSW and Burgerama-4. Got signed by Burger there and Caroline over here. And now have a legend turning managerial gears LG.
Are your ambitions mainly artistic or commercial? I'd like to take this opportunity to say our ambitions are FOR SALE. ***ADVERTISE HERE*** (money goes straight to the artist, we promise).

Is your music best rendered in the studio or the live realm? We operate well in all realms. Both the studio and the stage are where we belong and also the two reasons we're doing this. Nothing's permanent until it is. Live or recorded.
If you could have any act past or present join you on your next tour who would you tap? The Go-eys. The Cure. Bryan Ferry. Eno. Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band. We've been hitting them up to support us on our headline tour but it keeps going straight to message bank.
What industry lessons would you like to take away from the BIGSOUND conference? I guess we're all looking forward to the great music on display and meeting like-minded people within the industry. Some of the keynotes, like the Peter Garrett one, look alright too.
What acts are you looking forward to checking out at the BIGSOUND showcase? Fellow-Sydneyian ANGIE. Melbourne-pal Fraser A Gorman. 'Gong-bruzzys Hockey Dad. M8s Green Buzzard.Oh, and this great band I saw at Volumes, Methyl Ethyl from Perth. #closeyoureyesanditslikeyouandStevieNicksareintheoneroomtogether. Alone. At last.
Why should people come and see you from amongst the many cool bands at BIGSOUND? It's no round robin but I reckon you should check us out. We're fun and we won't hassle you too much for drink tickets if they run out.
