Short description of your band and your music? Biting lyrics, oozing synths and dream beats combine in Airling, the aptly-titled new project from Brisbane’s Hannah Shepherd. Produced by Big Scary’s Tom Iansek and characterised by Shepherd’s ethereal vocals and lush electronics, it’s no surprise Airling is one of the most exciting new Australian projects to emerge in 2014.

What are you hoping to achieve from showcasing at BIGSOUND? I just hope to play an amazing show so that the people experiencing it get a beautiful and true representation of my music. It’s always great to meet some cool new dudes from around Australia and the world. BIGSOUND brings together so many like-minded creatives and industry folk, and that can create cool relationships, friendships and inspire projects that wouldn’t be brought to fruition without the opportunity. So bring on new friends and endeavors.

Why should people come and see you from amongst the many cool bands at BIGSOUND?  I feel like if someone is into what they’ve heard so far of Airling, then coming and seeing the show will give them more depth into the band and our vibe.
