What do you hope to take away from BIGSOUND 2022?
Some more shows! We'd love to link up with agents and promoters who can offer some touring and festival opportunities, opening slots with big artists. We'd also just like to get our name out there and win over some fans.
What are you most proud of from the past 12 months?
Hinterland's ability to adapt to so many different styles with our songwriting and sound. Also in the last 12 months we have played four major festivals and locked in our backing band musicians (drums and bass). It's important to us, as fellow musicians, to have a family vibe within the band and have the same people onstage every time instead of hired guns. We are also proud of our single Treating Me Good reaching Top 5 on nearly all notable country music charts including a #1 in Tamworth and #2 for several weeks on KIX.
What is a topic that we should be talking more about as an industry?
Bringing country music into the mainstream the way It is in the US!
