Give us a short description of your music: The kids on the street are calling us "metalcore", although a paradigm shift is nearing and we are definitely heading towards a more technical and progressive realm. We are very excited to push the boundaries.
Which acts are on your must-see list at BIGSOUND? Well, we all spin at least 20 of the BIGSOUND 2018 artists often, so really, we won't name names. We'll fit in as many as we can over the week.
In your career to date, what have been the key watershed moments? I think the biggest thing that still spins us out was selling out our all ages EP launch in under two weeks. That Melbourne AA just went boom, and everyone was totally keen on grabbing a ticket. To play another show like that would be truly amazing!
If you could give your younger self, starting out as a musician, a few words of wisdom, what would they be? Perhaps, to be myself. When starting out, I would idolise others to a point where I would put myself down drawing close comparisons. The older I get, and the more I unfurl, the happier I become just being me and doing my own thing.

Why should people come and see you among the many amazing bands at BIGSOUND? I don't believe we've ever been given the opportunity to showcase in such a unique way. We are working very hard towards these performances being our strongest, most engaging sets of 2018. New gear, new patches, more refined sound and production; we're going all out!
What industry lessons would you like to take away from the BIGSOUND conference? I am personally curious to learn more about where independent bands stand and how to better value ourselves. We have always self-managed and self-booked, so to broaden our knowledge and future capacity to expand would be quite enlightening.
What do you identify as the most pressing issue impacting the Australian music industry at present? Lack of local networking; in order for the Australian music industry to strengthen and grow, we need to break down barriers between the established and unestablished. The perception that certain representatives/individuals are unapproachable greatly limits further connection, preventing potential opportunities and events from thriving. We need to better our communication.
What music trends do you think are dominating right now, and do you have any predictions for the coming year? Definitely noticing a big resurgence of groove in popular music lately! Australians are really backing tunes with bouncy beats and hooks, which could see a wave of '80s/'90s style riffs with synth elements prevalent to those time periods.
When and where is your BIGSOUND showcase? 4 Sep, The Brightside, 9.00pm; 5 Sep, Crowbar, 9.40pm.
