Give us a short description your music: Karnivool meets Maroon 5, in a pay-by-the-hour hotel.

What is the best thing musically that's happened to you/your band so far? We've had some epic highlights in our time, but touring with Twelve Foot Ninja has to be up there. That was one heavy, sweaty, face-melting tour. But I feel the best is yet to come.

What industry lessons would you like to take away from the BIGSOUND conference? For me it's mostly about meeting rad people and rubbing shoulders with industry big-wigs… and also the little wigs.

Why should people come and see you among the many cool bands at BIGSOUND? We're renowned as one of the most entertaining live acts to come out of Queensland. We give it absolutely everything on stage, and our musicianship and energy are unrivalled. We're also really humble.

What acts are on your must see list at BIGSOUND? Oooooh there's far too many to list here, but our good friends sleepmakeswaves are top of the list. I'm loving The Teskey Brothers lately, and POW! Negro have some heavy grooves I need to witness.

What do you reckon your percentage mix of business vs partying will be at BIGSOUND? I'd say 95% business, 5% party before our showcases. Once we've pumped up the jams it'll be 100% party baby!
