It's been plain to see for some time that the Melbourne-based artist has talent, but you'd be forgiven if you haven't heard of him until recent months.
Try to reconcile the plaintive alt-country crooner showcased on the Northcote Town Hall rooftop with the YEO you've heard on high rotation at Triple J in recent months and you might struggle. The glitchey beats and muted R&B swagger of 'Girl,' is a far cry from last year's output, and therein lies YEO's magic.

Something of a creative prodigy who began piano lessons at 7 and has diversified and refined his taste and style ever since, a musical maturity and sophistication seeps out of YEO's expansive electro ebbs and flows.
(Also well worth a listen is the infectious and euphoric house-infused pop of 'Covered In Gold', available on the snackswithyeo SoundCloud.)
A trip over to YEO's Facebook suggests these Melbourne-made sounds are reaching such far-flung destinations as Portugal and Brazil, and we predict world domination is next order of business – in 2014 and beyond!
