After the acclaim her debut record brought her, Melody Prochet and her Echo Chamber have done it again.

Still as dreamy as ever, fuzzed out guitars, swirly organs, gratuitous amounts of sixties memorabilia scattered through the rhythm section and that synth’d-out marimba, it seems Ms Prochet really has this psych thing under wraps.

Melody’s vocals are a blissful, soaking up the ethereal guitar melody and melting into the organs, yet with such clarity.

Though the real highlight here is the synth / marimba, that marimba is just brilliant! I feel like I’m hoping across lily pads or floating through a sun shower atop a kaleidoscopic cloud only to fall into an ocean of fuzz as the band jam out the end of the track. Headphones are a must if you want to truly immerse yourself in this echo chamber.
