Prior to the release of Disclosure's 'Settle' album, three of the singles, ‘Latch’, ‘White Noise’ and ‘You & Me’ have already peaked in the UK Dance Charts
Just in case anyone has been living under a rock, DISCLOSURE are one of the biggest dance acts to have emerged from the UK over the past few years. Before the release of their debut album ‘Settle’, which is scheduled for June 3, three of the singles, ‘Latch’, ‘White Noise’ and ‘You & Me’, have already peaked within the top 10 of the UK Dance Charts.
Here in Australia, ‘Latch’ went gold and around the New Year period we were treated with live performances from the duo all over at country at Summadayze, Summafieldayze and Field Day. A handful of lucky party goers also got the opportunity to check out encore DJ sets at Purple Sneakers’ Can’t Say in Melbourne and Chinese Laundry in Sydney.

On each of these nights, the walls of the two venues were literally dripping with sweat and DISCLOSURE provided us with a club experience we’ll without a doubt still remember in many years to come.
Moving away from the past and into the future, after only one listen, ‘Settle’ to me was one of the best house records I’ve heard in recent years. Apart from the obvious hit singles, the album also includes some other great tracks such as 'Defeated No More', featuring the catchy and distinctive vocals of Edward Macfarlane from FRIENDLY FIRES.
Following that we'll hear 'Grab Her', which may give people the impression that this particular track was inspired by the sound of THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS. With the help of JAMIE WOON, 'January' then proves to us that it is possible to create an enjoyable balance between R'n'B and house music.
Another highlight of this release is 'Confess To Me', which involves the wonderful vocals of JESSIE WARE and synthesizers which have the ability to impress any fan of the electronic genre. Finally we come across the chilled 'Help Me Lose My Mind', starring UK newcomers LONDON GRAMMAR.
During a time where the majority of house music consists of minimal or no vocals, it's fantastic to see such a young duo bring the old school back again, creating club music with addictive lyrics, sung by some of the world's most underrated talent in the industry.
