Delivering exactly what its title promises, the debut album from Aussie rockers The Lockhearts fires on all cylinders from the chunky opening riff of Leatherface.
It’s not surprising the Sydney outfit formed via a shared love of Aerosmith, The Rolling Stones and Tom Petty, with the 11 tracks on Americana Doom Fuzz fuelled by a sense of classic rock while still maintaining a fresh take on the genre.
“Keep it loose, keep it tight” was the approach they took when tracking their debut LP, and the result sees them finally nail down their live energy on a recording.
They’ll take the album (which officially drops tomorrow via Golden Robot Records) around the country throughout April and May before jetting overseas for a run of European dates.
