Album title? Imaginations
Where did the title of your new album come from?
The title track. There’s just something poignant about that moment in the album that sums it all up. Kind of like when Nicholson says, “What if this is as good as it gets!”
How many releases do you have now?
Oh wow – well, Imaginations is our debut LP, after our 2010 EP What Came First?
How long did it take to write/record?
Some of there songs are older than all of Bonson’s kids. We started recording this album in Nov 2012. If it wasn’t for John Cusack I don’t know if we ever would have finished it!
Was anything in particular inspiring you during the making?
The finished product. I’m not sure if an artist can be inspired by anything else? Some say enjoy the journey. I’d rather look at my work once it’s complete, smile and say, “Job done. Next?”
What’s your favourite song on it?
Hmmm... The Overthrow Of King Romeo, Fantasmas De Promesas Rotas, Party In The Desert, or Fishes On An Ego Ride.
Will you do anything differently next time?
For sure. But first we’ll hopefully receive some listener feedback from Imaginations, learn what everyone’s favourite moments are, and have a laugh fucking around with some new silly musical concepts!
