Album title: Higher Ground

Where did the title of your new album come from? The title track is called Higher Ground, which represents the constant search for bigger and better things both as individuals and as a band.

How many releases do you have now? This is our debut album! But we have a couple of singles available also.

How long did it take to write/record? Some of these songs are from back before we even moved to Melbourne and were still living in NZ, others are pretty fresh. All up it's probably been five years in the making.

Was anything in particular inspiring you during the making? The shift of countries was pretty massive, and so we tend to sing a lot about home. Wherever that may be now. But also just growing up and everything that entails.

What's your favourite song on it? Personally, I get a big kick out of playing Higher Ground. It just epitomises everything that we're about.

Will you do anything differently next time? We won't take as long! We're already in the writing stage of the next release, so hopefully we can keep the momentum going and smash out another one soon.

When and where is your launch/next gig? The album launch is at 303 in Northcote on 25 Nov. Great support as well from Spencer Vine, Drexler and Diploma. Gonna be a lot of fun!
