Album title? Lost Tropics

Where did the title of your new album come from? Ah, we just all sat around and threw some ideas out. We came up with that and felt it represented the feel we were going for with the album.

How many releases do you have now? We have released two EPs prior to the album — albums are way cooler. 

How long did it take to write/record? It took us a couple of months to write, then we went straight to the studio for two weeks and recorded it. Which was fun — we just hung out and went to the pub.

Was anything in particular inspiring you during the making? Nah, nothing in particular we were all pretty focused on writing the thing and we probably all had different inspiration. A few new guitar pedals added a bit of inspiration for me during the recording. 

What's your favourite song on it? Ah, shit, I dunno. I would say it's our most diverse album, so all the songs are pretty different.

Will you do anything differently next time? Not really, it all worked pretty well — maybe try and find a studio with a pool table, that would be cool. 

When and where is your launch/next gig? 18 May at Newtown Social Club. Our last one in Sydney for a few months.
