Album title? Flying Into The Sun
Where did the title of your new album come from? We were on a flight to Sydney to see Van Halen. Looking out the plane window we captured a great photo of the sun and plane wing. We were ‘flying into the sun’.
How many releases do you have now? This is our first official full release on CD and kicktone.
How long did it take to write/record? It took us just over two years to write and record. Some of the songs were written longer ago however, so in a sense you could almost say it was ten years in the making.
Was anything in particular inspiring you during the making? HAMMERCAN love quality tequila. After finally naming our band we carefully mixed our own HAMMERCAN Margarita. Our first song is called Tequila Time.
What’s your favourite song on it? Our favourite song is Tequila Time. It’s a strong call to action. Grab your drink and let’s rock!!!
Will you do anything differently next time? This album was mainly written/recorded by Dean (HAMMER) and Jerry (CAN), vocals/guitar. The next album will have more input from new members Rob (Rock Shark) and Pat (Trick Virtuoso), bass/drums.
When and where is your launch/next gig? Sunday 21 Sep, Bendigo Hotel. $10 door charge, bands start at 7pm, HAMMERCAN CDs for sale on the night.
