Album title? Cold Desire
Where did the title of your new album come from? It showed up in the lyrics of a few of the tracks and I thought it really suited the vibe of the whole record.
How many releases do you have now? This is my third and best album so far.
How long did it take to write/record? It took about a year. But to be fair, I probably only spent three weeks out of that year actually working.
Was anything in particular inspiring you during the making? The film Shame. Became obsessed with it sometime during that year, and I think the way it made me feel came through in the sleaze/lowdown thing on this album.
What’s your favourite song on it? Pale Horse at the moment. I like all of them, but now I’m obsessively listening to new songs I’m making.
Will you do anything differently next time? Have to do it all different every time otherwise it sounds and feels stale.
