Album title? I'm Gonna Burn Out Bright
Where did the title of your new album come from? Most of these songs were written during a period of introspection, I guess most folks question their existence at some point in their lives. Having said that it's musically pretty bright and poppy.
How many releases do you have now? Two albums, two EPs. One 45rpm record. And plenty more to come, I hope.
How long did it take to write/record? It was written and recorded over the space of 18 months or so. Whenever I had a day or two free here and there.
Was anything in particular inspiring you during the making? Wondering where my place is exactly in the universe is all the inspiration I need.
What's your favourite song on it? My Apple Lady Cried. I reckon it's a pop smash - written 34 years too late!
Will you do anything differently next time? I'd like a producer next time. I don't have a fanbase to speak of so I'm not tied down to any expectation. Long as it's brash and weird I'm happy.
When and where is your launch/next gigs? 18 Aug, The Gasometer Hotel, with Girlatones. And a proper launch to come in October.
