Album title? Climb
Where did the title of your new album come from? Naming an album is always an intuitive thing for me. A word or phrase can seem apt for reasons that are probably more sub-conscious. I like the openness and look of the word "climb".
How many releases do you have now? As a solo artist, Climb is my tenth album. It is also my fifth solo piano release.
How long did it take to write/record? I spent a while - a few years actually. I made a lot of recordings and chose material from the resultant pool of stuff.

Was anything in particular inspiring you during the making? There were a number of sessions over a number of years. Being alone in a room, playing the piano is profoundly inspiring - this might sound obvious, but the experience is incredibly complex and rich.
What's your favourite song on it? It's difficult to say. Each track has a different quality. Shoreline, the last track, is a good place to start.
Will you do anything differently next time? It might be some time before I release another solo piano record and I hope it will be something different; the passing of time is a good catalyst for change.
When and where is your launch/next gig? 15 Sep, 505. There are two sets, at 8.30pm and 10.00pm, and doors open 6pm for dining.
