Album title? Free Agent
Where did the title of your new album come from? It came from an amalgamation of words within my journals and notebooks. I suppose the choice related subconsciously towards themes, events and the way life played out at that time.
How many releases do you have now? As a solo artist, I have a previous LP, Turning.
How long did it take to write/record? Free Agent took two years in total to write, record and mix.
Was anything in particular inspiring you during the making? Transience, mystery, solitude, and both differing and familiar landscapes.
What's your favourite song on it? It's too hard to pick a favourite as they're all so different, and it's presented as a cohesive unit.
Will you do anything differently next time? Next time I want to record in Athens with producer John Vulgaris. As much as I love Owen I want to record in a different cultural landscape.
When and where is your launch/next gig? NSW: 4 Sep, Waywards with Sex Tourists and Skull and Dagger (free entry).
VIC: 12 Sep, The Curtin with Miss Destiny, Teuton and Power.
QLD: 8 Sep, Black Bear Lodge, 10 Sep, BIGSOUND Live, Woolly Mammoth.
