(Ocassional) GROOVE ARMADA frontwoman SAINT SAVIOUR is going it alone. After the success of her collaborations with the aforementioned Brit legends, SAINT SAVIOUR (real name Becky Jones) has decided to take a stab at solo performance, beginning with her debut album Union.
And Jones is looking to extend herself beyond her immediate existence. Said the woman herself “I never ever write about my own experience, my family life or relationships. I’d rather write about daydreams and the news, stuff that’s important rather than being self-indulgent.” With such a mature and wordly attitude, the record promises to be an eye-opener to fans and skeptics alike.
Initial responses have been overwhelmingly positive, with The Mirror and Sunday Times just a few of the shining reviews for Jones' breakout record. And we here in Australia get the added privilege of hearing SAINT SAVIOUR on the an upcoming television series. Oh yes, the good people at Channel Ten have commissioned four of Jones' tracks to be played through the course of one of their programs.
