Morgan Evans tells us some of his favourite things!

The best record I stole from my folks' collection was…

My favorite steal is "The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band - 20 Years of Dirt". My folks bought this one by chance at an airport in the states. They brought it home and I grew up singing along to it. I still love it just as much today! It surprises me that they weren't a bigger act here in Australia.

The record I put on when I bring someone home is…

When I bring someone home it's "The Jimi Hendrix Experience". Basically a Best Of Jimi! Everyone loves Jimi!

The most surprising record in my collection is…

The most surprising album is probably Slipknot's self-titled album. Slipknot at The Hordern was my first concert (without my folks). My neighbour had a metal band and he chaperoned my 11 year old brother and me.

The last thing I bought/downloaded was…

My most recent download was "Gaslight Anthem - Handwritten". Great album!

How did your collaborations with Jedd Hughes & Sarah Buxton come about?

Jedd & I have a lot of mutual friends! It actually got to a point where it seemed ridiculous that we hadn't met. I recorded one of his songs on my first EP and he was first on my list of co-writers in Nashville. When we finally did meet, Jedd and I got on really well and he introduced me to Sarah. She's got a great energy and a heap of ideas! Writing with those guys was fun & easy!

What impact did working in Nashville have on the EP?

The biggest impact Nashville had on the new EP was the desire the really raise the bar. That town is full of talent and I was fortunate enough to work with a whole bunch of writers and musicians who share a passion for making everything they do the best they've done! I couldn't help but be consumed by that and I'm very proud of what we came up with in just a few weeks.
