How did you first become involved in the music business?
My first experience of being involved in the Music industry was playing in Sufjan Stevens band New York.
What do you perceive to be your area of expertise, and how did you gain experience in this field?
I suppose having been on the 'artist' side of the fence I know what that's like but now working at Music Glue I can see the real benefits of artists having more control of their careers. I think my main area of expertise is discovering new music and building relationships with artists and managers from an early stage and continuing to work with acts as they grow more successful.
What will you be primarily discussing during your appearance at the BIGSOUND conference?
I'm on a panel about the changing landscape of live music globally; things have changed quite a bit over the past few years.
What are you hoping that people will be able to learn from your panel/interview?
I think the other panelists have a very good understanding of live which will be really helpful, I hope to impart some of the more DYI ways artists can work in the global landscape.
What are you expecting to take away yourself from your visit to BIGSOUND?
Meeting lot's on interesting new people who are passionate about what they do, learn from them and make some new friends.
