"Rock and roll isn’t really our thing, you know?"

Answered by: Tristan Ludowyk

How did you get together? We grew out of our big brother band The Public Opinion Afro Orchestra, to explore the sounds of Afrobeat and incorporate other influences such as Senegal's Sabar rhythms.

Sum up your musical sound in four words? Fiery hypnotic African funk.

If you could support any band in the world – past or present – who would it be? It'd be hard not to wish to play alongside the late great Fela Anikulapo Kuti and Africa 70.

You're being sent into space, no iPod, you can bring one album – what would it be? Maybe a compilation of tasty funk from the Analog Africa label, like Afro-Beat Airways

Greatest rock'n'roll moment of your career to date? Rock and roll isn't really our thing, you know? We did play before Ross Wilson at a festival once; you can't get much more Aus rock than Daddy Cool.

Why should people come and see your band? To hear some real authentic and hard-hitting music that will consume your mind and whip you into a dancing frenzy.

When and where for your next gig? 5 Jun, Warehouses Are Better @ Second Story Warehouse.
