Name: Carlos Arango

What the best venue – anywhere in the world – you've played? To me, have always been the dream to play at Rock Al Parque in Colombia, biggest free festival in South America with around 100,000 music lovers from all social status.

Is there one country you particularly love performing in? Colombia, people breath music in every corner.

What part of the world has had the most influence on you, musically? Latin America, that's the root of our music.

Where have you experienced music really impacting and influencing a culture? Australia multiculturalism has shaped the arts and music here.

When it comes to your band – is more always better? Gotta say yes, given the size of our band! 15 piece Orquestra. Its the essence of our big sound.

What's one instrument you wish you could master? Trumpet, will get a party started anywhere.

Do you have any pre-gig rituals? Rum! Always relaxes the nerves before getting on stage.

What's your favourite food dish? Crazy for some good Mexican Cosine. Enchiladas suizas, best dish out of Mexico.

Can you recommend us a drink at the bar? Just get a full bottle of Rum. Always works for me.
