Ryan Hemsworth's Diplo & Friends Mix
Featuring a heap of fire, including an un-released Cosmo's Midnight slice of bliss.. Last week saw Diplo & Friends' radio show host a Valentine's Special and who better to get in the mix than the king of emotions himself, Ryan Hemsworth. The one-hour mix is as excellent as you'd expect, traversing a glorious menagerie of genres and featuring a whole heap of un-released and exclusive material. What got our bones rattling was an un-released remix from our At The Pile headliners, Cosmo's Midnight. Rather than being a synth-filled banger we're used to from the old Cosmo's, it's very much in line with latest single Snare, a super-blissful and chilled out piece of electronica, packing feels for days. That one comes in at 23:00, but of course this entire mix is spot-on: Head to our At The Pile event - March 7 at Gilkisons Dance Studio - HERE, or grab tickets HERE.

Pilerats Presents: At The Pile #1
Welcome to the first in our new party series.. A couple of weeks ago saw the announcement of Cosmo's Midnight upcoming national tour celebrating their latest single Snare, taking in a range of dates around the country, including a Perth show Saturday 7 March at Gilkisons Dance Studio. Last year we through a little Christmas soiree down in the rave cave that is Gilkisons with some friends including Lido, Sophie, Nadus, QT and Sable, and it looked a little something like this: Post by Pilerats.   As you can maybe tell, we had a really good time - such a good time we've been waiting for the chance to head back, and now we are for the first in a new series - At The Pile, a run of shows featuring some of this country's most exciting artists, in a very party-friendly environment. To make sure vibes are at maximum levels, we've also invited a bunch our favourite acts to help support proceedings, for a lineup that we're a) proud of, and more importantly b) looks like this: Head to the Face

Video: Cosmo's Midnight - Snare
Cosmo’s Midnight take some girls for a ride in their new R&B crooner.. After unleashing Snare, a seductive elemental track, the flames were lit and with the announcement of an EP for 2015 a wildfire seemed only moments away, especially given our nation's youth broad caster falling in love with the track equal as much. The relaxing nature of Wild Eyed Boy’s dulcet tones become the backdrop for a claustrophobic car ride becoming steadily filled with past girlfriends of the young race-car driver, well he looks like one going off his outfit. Indeed, it seems likely that he dated them all at once considering their near identical fashion choices of high socks, hip sneakers, pig tails, varsity jackets, lollipops and colourful eye shadow. And now they’ve come back as a form ‘emotional baggage’ that as a race-car driver he is struggling to deal with, in line with Snare's hook - "I'll always be their for you." They're also heading on tour over February and March, check the dates after the vid:

New: Cosmo's Midnight - Snare feat. Wild Eyed Boy
The Sydney twins are back in the studio, taking a softer approach on new single Snare.. Fresh from a heap of festival appearances and a five-month studio break, one of Australian electronic music's most hyped acts Cosmo’s Midnight have put the lights back on in front of the speakers, dropping their new single, Snare, featuring London-based vocalist Wild Eyed Boy. It's the first taste of their early-2015 EP release, and shows a little shift in direction for a duo that's never been one to hold back from genre-hopping - turning towards a softer, R&B approach with a chilled, low-slung beat pinned down by Wild Eyed Boy's soothing vocals. They're returning to the festival realms to end the year, with appearances at Beyond The Valley and Harbour Party NYE.
