"Dark, industrial yet nostalgic."

Kele is back with a new video clip for his song Closer.. Following up from his debut album Trick Kele Okereke, frontman of Bloc Party, has released a video clip for his track Closer. The clip is shot throughout a dark winter's night in Peckham, London. The haunting nature of the song fits the dark palette of the track and makes uses of a series of visuals to compliment the lighter chorus created by vocalist Jodie Scantlebury. It's a intriguing clip that fits the moody aesthetic of Kele's track and also reflects kele's use of visuals in his own set where the light show is reactive to the music. You can watch the clip below and see the pleasing combination of light and dark reacting with one another. Kele drops a silky smooth new cut from his upcoming LP, Trick.. Kele has debuted a new song - Coasting - off of his sophomore solo album, Trick, due October 10 via Lilac Records/Kobalt Label Services. It follows on from his release with our own Sable, The One (listen HERE), and more recently the first single from Trick - Doubt (HERE). Coasting, with Kele's forever-amazing falsetto over muffled garage-drum vibes, is another peek into the world of Trick - which aims to explore the dichotomous nature of both intimate and lonley dancefloors late at night. Young Sable drops a Pokem-honouring two-track 7-inch.. It's been a huge year for Pilerats Records' debut signee, culminating most recently in a collaboration with none other than Bloc Party hero Kele on The One (listen HERE), a cool-as-ice tune perfectly suited for the winter months. However, as we ramp back up to the Aussie summer and with Sable hard at work on his next EP, he's decided to pump out some goodies to keep the vibes feeling good. Following the earlier Pokemon homaging beast that was Mt Moon (HERE), Sable's Pokemon obsession comes full circle with two brand new tracks in Thunderwave and Surf on the Kanto EP. Following a short'n'sweet Australian DJ tour around CIRCO Festival (re-cap HERE), and more recently a cracking new tune with our own Sable called The One (HERE), it's fair to say Kele Okereke is back. And with his sophomore LP Trick due for release October 10, Kele-fever is definitely on the up-and-up. A couple of weeks ago saw the release of Trick's first single, Doubt, and today a rad little animated clip has dropped.
