Interview - Basenji
We got our kawaii bass on with Circo's finest.. With CIRCO Festival right around the corner (it's tomorrow!) we thought it was high time that everyone got to know the new-wave electronic maestro that is Basenji, or Sebastian Carlos as he is known to his friends. And with his friends including Wave Racer, our own Sable and Cosmo's Midnight it's hard not to get excited about the potential. With that in mind Liam Apter shot off a few questions to Sebastian in which they discussed his side-project with Wave Racer, signing to Future Classic, the poor quality sound systems of many venues and he may have hinted at possible collaboration with the aforementioned furry fiend Sable?

Things We Learned: Wonderland Warehouse Project
Told you what to expect, now hear what we got.. After Alison Wonderland gave us a short briefing on what to expect on the Wonderland Warehouse Project tour, the DJ/producer definitely has not disappointed on her three shows thus far. Check a little video evidence below, and here's what one of our contributors thought after the Brisbane show last Saturday night, one which saw her manfully brave a ravenous crowd of ravers, with a crutch. YOUNG FRANCO CAN BRING IT  We arrive, me hobbling behind on crutches after an unfortunate mountain climbing accident, at 6:30pm. The warehouse is already heaving and 3/4 full, all for Brisbane’s own Young Franco. At one point he throws a shirt into the crowd, which nearly results in a brawl mid-dance floor. His hit Brooklyn has everyone inside moving, and shows everyone he is one to to watch. Young Franco’s set was the perfect warm-up, with his energetic stage presence feeding off the crowd’s love for him. WAVE RACER IS THE FUCKING MAN The crowd continu

What You Get At The Wonderland Warehouse Project
Alison Wonderland gives us the lowdown on her upcoming warehouse rave parties.. As anticipation for the upcoming Wonderland Warehouse Project reaches fever pitch (as in, it starts in Melbourne TONIGHT), we decided to go straight to the source of the idea for what you can expect when Alison Wonderland, Wave Racer and Young Franco roll into a warehouse near you. 1. NEW TUNES I’m really excited to be dropping other tracks from my Calm Down EP. I don’t have a microphone when I play, so you’ll just have to work out what’s what (or I’ll just wink twice, that’s how you’ll know). 2. YOUNG FRANCO & WAVE RACER I love both these guys. We’ve had some crazy times on the road before - I can’t not jump around when they’re playing their sets. They’re both very talented artists, who I have a lot of respect for, and being able to do this tour alongside them - it’s fucking brilliant. 3. AN EXPERIENCE I’m trying to make this not just another DJ set - I want it to be a an experience. It’s a way of me say

Wonderland Warehouse Project
Alison Wonderland's bringing the rave to a warehouse near you this May.. If there's one thing I know for sure, it's the quality of raving is directly proportional to said raving being done in a warehouse. Alison Wonderland knows this, and today has announced the Wonderland Warehouse Project - her only capital city tour this year, taking place in as yet un-announced "temporary party templates". And if that's not enough, she's bringing along to of the country's hottest producers of the moment in Wave Racer and Young Franco. Festivals are played, clubs are played, let's go back to back to the warehouse: “I wanted to thank everyone who has supported me the last few years and I couldn’t think of a better way to do that than give them a truly unforgettable experience. I've got a few surprises up my sleeve, and am super excited that my m8s Wavey and Franco are coming too." Last time she wandered around the country it sold out pretty damn quickly, so don't fuck around - tickets are only $25,
