Robert Pattinson plays for Death Grips
Is the noise rap game ready for RPatz?. Recently our interest level in Twilight 'hunk' Robert Pattinson has gone from zero (maybe negative one) to something at least numbering in positive digits. Here's why (stick around to the end):  He’s Dating FKA Twigs Unexpectedly, he’s dating (possibly marrying) ultimate future R & Babe FKA Twigs.  Which is highly convenient for rising singer FKA Twigs, whose now getting a fair bit of exposure for her music from Pattinson’s star power. But anyway, respect to Pattinson for this one, and for buying her flowers bigger than her whole body: He’s Acting in Challenging Films David Cronenberg was off his game a bit with recent film Cosmopolis but the fact that Pattinson acted in a Cronenberg film, based on a complex post-modern novel by author Don DeLillo, is cred-worthy – it’s good to see Pattinson shooting for projects like this, as well as Australian film The Rover (dir. Animal Kingdom’s David Michod), and Anton Corbijn's next flick, James Dean bio

How To Dress Well 'You and I Are The Same' Mixtape
Hear How To Dress Well's left-field reworks of FKA Twigs and Sia.. Just wanna marry Juana. Just wanna marry Tom Krell. Six months after the release of his third studio album, What Is This Heart?, Chicago-based singer / producer has made a new mixtape, his first since that great tape he made hungover a year ago. For years Tom Krell's Tumblr was an excellent source of discovery for new, strange music works, with music nerd Tom posting annual round-ups of his favourite tracks and albums - he's taken that music nerdery across to his mixes, steering us in the direction of some loose new stuff, including this great Medifired track, Spring Is Here, a slowed 'n' screwed, cloudy take on Backstreet Boys' I Want It That Way.   I love how artists like Krell, and Ryan Hemsworth, just do away with pretention in their mixes and just let their mixes go everywhere, including whatever songs are moving them at the time; like how Ryan puts Broken Social Scene into mixes alongside modern raps - Krell's don

FKA Twigs Dances for Inmate on Death Row in Creepy New Clip
26 year-old British musician FKA Twigs makes creepy video about sex and death.. Prior to FKA Twigs’ success as a solo artist, she worked as a dancer in other artists’ videos. Now, she’s come full circle, starring in her own videos – that are undoubtedly several times more f*&cked up than any of the stuff she was in the background for. The 26 year old experimental priestess directly references her own history in her new clip for Video Girl, a track off her recent LP1 release (sings Twigs in the song: "is she the girl from the video?"). The video is shot in black and white and has a sombre mood that perfectly matches Twigs' ethereal, twisted R&B - it features FKA dancing for a prisoner on death row – she writhes around him sexily, and jerks her body in the corner, as he is laid out on his back, and a euthanasia injection is being pumped through his veins. The clip is more suggestive than fixed in terms of its narrative – FKA could potentially be a figment of his imagination, his last dit

Watch: #throughglass, FKA Twigs’ directed advert for Google Glass
Google Glass recruits buzz artist FKA Twigs for their latest commercial.. 26 year old star-in-the-making FKA Twigs has just conceptualised, directed and starred in an “arty short film” (c’mon…it’s a commercial) for Google Glass. This peculiar move by Google Glass comes in the footsteps of James Deen and Andy San Dimas, who recently used Google Glass to shoot a porno. If you're not up with Google Glass, they're basically just glasses that display information in front of your eyes; kind of like the Terminator’s glasses.  The advert is set to a re-scored version of her songs Video Girl and Glass & Patron from her debut album LP1. in the clip FKA is dancing in a black bra, hotpants and monochrome sarong (and seriously hectic eyemakeup) into a mirror, using Glass to call upon references and inspirations as well as incorporating the device into the actual filming. FKA pays tribute to her fave London dance crew Wet Wipez, before engaging in a bout of voguing and krumping (“OK Glass, show me

FKA Twigs - LP1
LP1 is out now, and we excited.. Tahlia Barnett, also known as FKA Twigs, is an experimental R&B musician/dancer hailing from Gloucestershire, UK. Originally known as just Twigs, due to her constantly cracking and popping bones, she was pressured to change her name due to another artist named Twigs, leading to her current moniker FKA (formerly known as) Twigs. Growing up in Gloucestershire with musical parents, she discovered her sweet and airy vocal abilities in her teenage years whilst in the local recording studio with her Jamaican father and local musicians. Moving down to London at the age of 17 to pursue a career in dancing, it didn’t take her long to realise that music was her true calling. Since then, Twigs has released two EPs on the highly acclaimed record label Young Turks, home of artists such as The xx and SBTRKT, and has just released her debut album, LP1:
