The Live Music Professionals program is back for 2019!

The program, which has been developed by The Push Inc, Music Victoria and the Victorian Government, is open to Victorian live music professionals, including venue owners and managers, band bookers and independent promoters, who are looking to expand their skills.

Successful program applicants will attend workshops and masterclasses, as well as one-on-one coaching sessions with established industry professionals, which last year included Love Police, Boogie & Out On The Weekend owner Brian Taranto, Deathproof PR’s Emily Kelly, 170 Russell's booker Ben Thompson and more.

85% of previous participants of the program have reported new business opportunities stemming directly from their involvement in the program.

“Live Music Professionals was invaluable to me as a way to broaden my knowledge of the many facets of the music business. It was really heartening sharing stories with the coaches and other participants and knowing that having connections in the business is key to how you can improve within it," says Theatre Royal Castlemaine owner Tim Heath.

"The coaches were engaged in the program and I felt were genuinely interested in my business and very keen to help. The other participants were all enthusiastic and I think we all benefited from the fun social aspects of the course too. Overall the program was very insightful, always fun and extremely well put together."
