Long live the vinyl revival.
Pink was the hot favourite to take out top spot on the ARIA Albums chart this week with her eighth studio album Hurts 2B Human, and she has done so, overtaking Billie Eilish's massive WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?.
On top of beating Eilish, who is currently touring Australia, Pink beat a number of local debuts including King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard's Fishing For Fishies, which debuted at #4, Hillsong United's People, coming in at #6, and David Campbell's Back In The Swing (#33).
Rob Thomas finished in the top three with his latest solo record, Chip Tooth Smile, while Splendour 2019 act Catfish & The Bottlemen landed at #9 with The Balance.
While King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard couldn't top Pink, they have cleaned up on the Vinyl chart, debuting at #1. Ceres' We Are A Team also debuted lower than expected on the Albums chart (#55) but came in at #3 on the Vinyl chart.
Over on the Singles chart, Taylor Swift's record-breaking track, ME!, couldn't dethrone Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus' Old Town Road which held onto top spot for a third straight week.
