Australia Decides!
Three new acts have today joined the race for the chance to represent Australia at Eurovision 2019, by competing at the first-ever Eurovision: Australia Decides show next year.
RuPaul's Drag Race fan-favourite Courtney Act, pop singer Aydan and 16-year-old songwriter Leaa Nanos will compete against already-announced names such as Kate Miller-Heidke and Sheppard.
“A sweet 16 years after Australian Idol I have the chance to show Australia how I have grown as an artist and a performer and I am so excited," Act said.
"To compete to represent Oz in Eurovision is second only to being on that stage in Tel Aviv and singing my lungs out for my country. I've sat at home every year since Guy Sebastian competed in 2015 and have been so keen to be a part of it. Now, this might be my chance!”
The event will take place on the Gold Coast from 8-9 February and broadcast nationally on SBS with the winner to represent Australia at the global singing contest next May in Israel.
