Voting closes this week!
Opinion was divided when Double J announced last week that it would be giving listeners the chance to revote the #1 spot in the 1998 Hottest 100, but even The Offspring are embracing the opportunity.
The US outfit, who took out top spot that year with Pretty Fly (For A White Guy) are in fact throwing their support behind Aussie heavyweights, The Living End.
"We totally get it. Our song may have been played a time or two too many," The Offspring guitarist Noodles wrote on the band's Facebook page.
"So let’s fix this historical error by voting for The Living End's Save The Day as the #1 song of 1998. They had three songs in the top 20 that year. They earned it!"
Save The Day came in at #10 that year, behind tracks like Korn's Got The Life and Powderfinger's The Day You Come.
