Winner.

Melbourne live music venue Reverence Hotel has hit back at a cease and desist surrounding its 'Taco Tuesday' night in brilliant fashion.

As The Age reports, the Footscray establishment this week received a cease and desist letter from Mexican food chain Salsas' Fresh Mex Grill (a part of Retail Zoo group, part-owned by Shark Tank's Janine Allis), which has a trademark on the 'Taco Tuesday' tag.

"We assume that you are unaware that Salsas is the owner of the registered trade mark TACO TUESDAY in respect to the provision of Mexican-style food and restaurant services," the letter states.

"The Mexican-style food offered by Salsas under that trademark has become extremely well and favourably known among members of the public in Australia, and as a result is associated with Salsas."

Appearing on Channel Ten's The Project last night, Reverence's Matt Bodiam announced they've now changed the name to 'Taco Suesday' — oh yeah, this is a real thing. Check the website.

"I really want to stress that 'Taco Tuesday' is for everyone," Bodiam said.

"It shouldn't belong to anyone. It's something you have at home when you're a kid... I don't feel like we're really doing anything wrong. I think it's all a bit ridiculous.

"So, for the moment I've changed our website to say 'Taco Suesday'. It's a day that you could possibly get sued. Other than that, I'll see where we go."
