"We are thrilled to take on such a beloved music and arts space, and continue its legacy as one of Adelaide's premier live music venues."
Earlier in the week it was confirmed that beloved South Australian live music venue Fowlers Live would close its doors this December. However, new tenants Five Four Entertainment, the local music and entertainment company who will take over the lease from 1 January, has confirmed it will remain operational as a live music and arts venue.
The company has partnered with Hugo Pedler of Penny Hospitality, who was behind the renovation of Hindley Street's West Oak Hotel, and plan "to implement a series of renovations and upgrades".
Five Four Entertainment co-director Craig Lock was excited about the prospect of the venue and said they "are thrilled to take on such a beloved music and arts space, and continue its legacy as one of Adelaide's premier live music venues".
"We have been booking venues and events in Adelaide for many years, and are very excited to now have our very own space to operate," he said.
Five Four Entertainment ran this year's SPIN OFF music festival and has previously overseen aspects of St Jerome's Laneway Festival and the 2017 OH YES festival. The company also manages a number of artists including Tkay Maidza.
