Live Review: Midas.Gold breathes straight fire with fierce new track 'Location'

After a packed 2016, we've now finally had the first taste of what Brisbane based emcee MIDAS.GOLD has been cooking up lately, with his new single 'Location' featuring production by Jangus.

Following the release of his debut EP, For What It's Worth, Midas.Gold toured nationally with Tkay Maidza, supported Danny Brown and The Underachievers, and rounded out the year with a spot on the Listen Out lineup and featuring on the top 50 most played artists list from Triple J Unearthed. He's given us the first taste of the next phase of career with a brand new track.

'Location' sees Midas.Gold with a bigger and better flow over classic 808 hats, kicks and claps and a pounding low end. Twinkly synths filter throughout Gold's verses, joined by warm pads and additional percussion when the fire picks up. On 'Location', Midas has said its "the start of the next phase for me. It’s me on a new level," and with an evolved efficiency for flow and crisp new production from Jangus, the track shows this new phase is going to be a game changer.
