"Still awaiting an 'Ooh, them!' mega-hit, which is befuddling considering their consistency across six albums to date."

More Turin Brakes More Turin Brakes

London's Olly Knights and Gale Paridjanian are the still awaiting an 'Ooh, them!' mega-hit, which is befuddling considering their consistency across seven albums to date.

Producer Ali Staton — well accustomed to the luxurious cut of Rufus Wainwright's jib — is a great choice to guide Knights' tempered underground-busker-done-good folktronica. On Hope We Make It, he croons like Thom Yorke un-bogged by Radiohead's cleverness while (lead single) Keep Me Around gently toddles back and forth like a cuddly teddy bear finding its feet. Lost Property is laid-back without being lackadaisical and easy to get lost in.
