"A sweet and delicate foray into a world of subtly textured four-piece harmonies."

Melbourne is quickly approaching a neo-soul singularity, a time in which every band expelled from its alleys will be beset by an extravagance of horns, woodwind and tender organic synth.

The Do Yo Thangs, a pastel clad outfit of suburban swingers, has been quietly claiming this territory as the next next thing. Their debut EP is a sweet and delicate foray into a world of subtly textured four-piece harmonies, electronic emotion and throwback balladry. Only a five-track taster, One Plus One is nevertheless sumptuously paced and seems to extend far beyond the bounds of its run time.
