"Messy, rude and irreverent."

Despite the flailings of middle age, illness and the relevance of their 20-year-old material, the much-loved Doug Anthony All Stars emerge triumphantly and to great applause from their rowdy crowd.

Paul McDermott is snide and energetic, Tim Ferguson serves up some bite in his poetry (particularly one about feminism and “manly” men) and Paul Livingston’s guitar solos make for some enjoyable tangents.

The show is tangled, messy, rude and irreverent - yet the audience wouldn’t have it any other way.
